I'm falling.
Two blinks of an eye ago,
I was standing at the jagged, rocky edge
Of a cliff that drops down to a vast blue sea.
I remember it was tugging,
Tearing my pants as I pulled against its force
I didnt know where I was running to
I didnt know what awaited me
But I knew what I was running from.
Everything but my fingers
Was dangling in mid-air.
Nails dug into the last bit of granite my hands could cover.
And I made the ultimate decision
Equivalent to a click on the send/del button
It was on to another dimension.
With every inch of drag
Of blurry visions and bits of sky
I left regret, greed, and lust
In the spaces between the air molecules
Where I hope they'll stay happily ever after.
I have never been a very explicit person;
Have a million long-winded ways to say 'death'
But this death would be washed over
By the pure bliss of water
That I was going to fall into.
You can come and watch, but I wont ask for help.
Maybe from two.
I'm still falling.
